Caleb Quaye:
Lead guitarist with Hookfoot.
Of which Caleb tells in Beat Instrumental May '72:
"I suppose the band started about four years ago. We were working on
some sessions for Elton John, and the band came out of that. We'd all been
in bands before."
and
"We started as a straight blues band. Blues is our root, with a little
bit of jazz mixed in. We've developed from there."
According to a photo, Caleb favours a 335-styled Epiphone on which
he - according to the journalist - is "playing some of the sweetest funky
guitar I've ever heard..."
Hookfoot issued five albums 1971-1975 on the DJM label.
